Confidentiality Policy

At Therapseed, we understand the sensitive nature of the information shared during therapeutic sessions. This Confidentiality Policy outlines our commitment to protecting your privacy and the limitations of that confidentiality. All information disclosed within sessions and any written records pertaining to those sessions are confidential and may not be revealed to anyone without your written permission, except where disclosure is required by law.

Limits of Confidentiality
There are legal exceptions to confidentiality where a therapist is required to report information to the appropriate authorities. These include: if there is a reason to believe that a client is in serious and imminent danger of harming themselves or another person; if there is a reason to believe that a child, elderly person, or dependent adult is being abused or neglected; in response to a valid court order or subpoena; or in cases involving criminal activity within the clinical setting.

Professional Supervision and Consultation
Psychologists may occasionally consult with other mental health professionals regarding clinical cases. In such instances, every effort is made to maintain the client’s anonymity and only necessary clinical details are shared for the purpose of ensuring high-quality care.

Electronic Communication
While we use secure methods of communication, the privacy of emails, texts, and other electronic communications cannot be guaranteed. We encourage clients to limit the sharing of sensitive therapeutic information to in-person or secure telehealth sessions.

Client Rights
You have the right to request access to your records and to discuss any concerns regarding your privacy with your therapist at any time.
